I’ve never had a problem with WW before, but after updating to 5.6.45, everytime I start my computer a box pops up asking what I want to do with new maps that have been found and gives me 3 options. I chose this during the update, so why should I have to keep choosing this whenever my computer starts? Is it just a bad update? I don’t want to have to uninstall and reinstall as I have WW just the way I want it.
Not sure what the cause of your problem is, it could be a bad download or use of a limited access account, but using your email address as your user id will definitely increase you SPAM email count. Recommend you change it ASAP.
archer_310, I have a few questions for you:
1) Which of the three options did you choose?
2) Are you logged into Windows as an administrator?
I kept choosing the top option which I think was to combine the new ones with the old - and yes I have administrative powers. I went back a version and installed 5.6.40 and have had no problem since.
archer_310, does the following file exist on your computer?
C:\Users[Windows Username]\AppData\Roaming\WeatherWatcher\WeatherWatcher.log

C:\Documents and Settings[Windows Username]\Application Data\WeatherWatcher\WeatherWatcher.log
