It seems that weather.com has gone back to hourly updates for their XML data. They were down to the 20 min range last fall. Is it just me or are others seeing this also? And any idea why?

I think there is a problem with 5.6b8’s time display.
WW Observed: 6:25pm (all windows including Current Conditions and ToolTip)
WW Downloaded: 7:32pm
XML data:
6:54pm
6:25pm
6:25pm
I think WW switched from using the 1st occurrence of to using the last occurrence,
-or-
weather.com has changed how they are doing things.
Update I</font id=“red”>
WW 5.6b7 displays the times differently than 5.6b8 and I’m not sure where it’s getting it’s data.
WW 5.6b8
WW Observed: 11:05pm
WW Downloaded: 12:45am
WW 5.6b7
WW Observed: 12:25am (all windows including Current Conditions and ToolTip)
WW Downloaded: 12:45am
XML data:
11:54pm
11:05pm
11:05pm
12:45am
At this point I’m pretty certain there is a problem with 5.6b8’s Observed time displays.

weather.com:

T72529000 = 7:25:29 EST = 8:25:29 EDT ??
Update III</font id=“red”>
WW 5.6b8

WW 5.6b7

weather.com:
Updated May 6 08:45 a.m. ET
T72529000 = 7:25:29 EST = 8:45:29 EDT ?? Apparently not.
But 5.6b7’s Observed times match those shown on weather.com. 5.6b8’s don’t.

EdP, thanks. I’ll check it out.
There’s something going on with the Auto Update frequency also. Even if both versions are Refreshed at the same time, the Downloaded times vary over time.
Ed</font id=“blue”></font id=“size2”>
EdP, how much do they vary by?
Well, I Retrieved Forecasts on both about 1:15. In that they share the Registry entries they both have a 20 min Recycle. This is what I see in the ToolTips at this point.

Ok, now I have:

Hourly/Daily Conditions-Forecasted: 9:05 pm

9:02 PM
8:54 PM EDT
8:03 PM EDT
The WW times look to be correct and agree with weather.com’s time which of course is great. But where is WW getting the 8:45 from? It is nowhere in the XML data, other than Thurs sunset which I doubt is what WW used. [?]
