Vista and (Active Desktop) Wallpaper maps..

I have a few maps I like to use for my wallpaper, one of them is an animated GIF (http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/Loop/NatLoop.gif) and many others are PNG. I am having difficulty under Vista getting the AD wallpapers to work. Is this a known issue?

So after much digging, i find that Active Desktop is dead in Vista.

Yup, although Vista Ultimate has the ability to run DreamScene, allowing it to use animated images for wallpaper. Stardock has a free Dream Scene maker, and perhaps that could be incorporated to allow the use of live radar on the desktop…
