My old computer have WW for years and temp. number in tray icon change to red when temperature is negative…
This option seems no longer available with new install…why since both of my computer have the latest WW version?

Well, you’re not the first to wonder about this, and as a matter of fact a solution has already been given in another post; try looking at this thread:

EDIT:
Just read the 4 latest posts, that’ll do the trick…
Another tray icon (temp) question: Did any previous version allow for a third temp icon color? Something like: over 100?F to be (for example) red? If so, what were the registry key names and values? Will it still work with v5.6.6?
Thanks,
Bill

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Weather Watcher\TrayIcon\NegativeColor
The value must be an RGB color value (e.g. “255” for red).
Thanks for your reply Mike</font id=“blue”>! I had found the info on the negative temp color from Fl?gger</font id=“blue”>'s post earlier on this thread. Was curious if there was also an option to change the temp icon color for three digit (100+?F) temps…which would tie into the option to “Hide first digit when reaching 100?”. For example, while negative could be set to blue</font id=“blue”>, 0-99 black, then 100+ could be red</font id=“red”>. Just curious.
Also, Mike, in order for the color change to work, you’d have to set the key “WhenNegative” to “true”.
And your colorcoding is a little off; it would be an RGB value, but it’s kinda interpreted, e.g. to get red you have to put in 255, but black is 0 and white is 16777215. For more on this, look at this topic: http://www.singerscreations.com/Forum/v … php?t=1163
