FYI
WW portable doesn’t display the WW tray icon in the Windows 8 64-bit desktop taskbar. :sad:
The WW icon shows briefly then it’s gone. Task Manager shows ww.exe as running but that’s it. :sad:
I just happened to see this. I’m new to the board, but have been using WWL for quite a while, and have Win8-64 bit. I assume you are in the Desktop. If you click the up arrow in the tray, does the icon show up there? If so, click on Customize at the bottom of that pop-up and find the WW icon. Set it to “Show icon and notifications”.

Thank you for posting DavidD. But the problem goes deeper than that. I’m not using WWL, I using WW, an earlier version.
