Start Minimized used to work very well, but is doesn’t now. And whenever I start/restart my any of my PCs, when WWL starts, I have to Minimize it manually. I don’t know what happened to Start Minimized but it is totally broken and is quite annoying.
What happens when you exit Weather Watcher and restart it after Windows has already started?
It still opens on the desktop.
Any idea which version last worked as expected for you?
its been over 6 months, so long I just got used to the annoyance.
Version 7.3.8 was released on 8/2/2025 and is the first available version that’s at least 6 months old. Try temporarily downgrading to that version to see if it resolves your issue.
I accidentally deleted my last post, I will still use my WWL collection and keep going back in a VM, till I find where it broke.
I just tested it in one of my VMs and 7.3.8 does start Start Minimized. It even does so on a system restart. I restarted it a few times. I think it was around 3 or 4 months since, this prob has been going on.
What happens when you install 7.4.3 on the same VM?
I will try that tomorrow.

I can’t explain it, on my 11 Enterprise VM both 743 and 744 start minimized, but on my reg PCs they show on the desktop when starting WWL every single time.
