I need to find a program for a call center that will rotate through preselected weather maps (about 6). Ideally it would have the following options:
Able to run fullscreen
Update from the internet frequent (5 minute updates)
Able to display animated weather maps
Adjustable time between rotations
Additional maps can be added - not just ones that come with program
It appears that WW will do most of this using the wallpaper options as described here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=976
The only thing I am not sure is if it will do the animated gifs (possibly with active desktop windows xp?) and if you can adjust the time between maps rotations. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Easy enough for you to find out, grab an animated gif and see if you can set Windows to use it as your wallpaper.
WW doesn’t add anything to Windows capabilities, it simply uses what’s available to the max.
BTW A webpage can be created to display one or more animated images, animated gifs and swfs, and to refresh automatically and when displayed in a browser opened full screen would accomplish pretty much the same as what you’re asking.
