That data is stored in this file:
C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\WeatherWatcherLive\wwl.mdb
You’ll want to copy it while Weather Watcher is not running.
Thank you for your reply unfortunantly I am getting nowhere I used CTRL Alt Delete to stop weather watcher. and I found the wwl but without the extension mdb.and deleted it. I copied the wwl again without the mdb from my old computer which was dated 13 January (the last time I used the old computer) and copied and pasted it in..I started weather watcher again and clicked the monthly tab and only showed February and later on it filled in the 14th February iinfo.Paul
By default, Windows hides file extensions, so the filename may appear as just “wwl” without the .mdb extension.
If you switched weather stations after moving to your new computer, the history from the previous station will no longer be visible in Weather Watcher.
What’s the file size of the wwl.mdb file on your new computer?
Thank you again it is 23016 kb strangely it is slightly less on my old pc
Did you compare the selected weather station on your old and new computers to make sure it didn’t change?
my computer shop transfered the figures from my hard drive which is all I have now and I thought I used the same weather station as before but i may be wrong as I cannot quite remember which site I used before.
Did you try switching to any other nearby weather stations?
You should see the missing history once you’re using the same weather station as your old computer.
Hooray I found it
Thanks for your help
regards Paul
I have 2 other historical wwl.mdb files from past computers. Is there a way to put it all into one file to access it from my present computer? Just curious,
Weather Watcher doesn’t have a built-in way to combine those databases. It isn’t impossible, but it would require a custom app to merge them together.
