How do you Uninstall Weather Watcher?

The weather watcher on my PC is not working as there is no way to set Proxy settings in it!? So, I want to uninstall it, but I don’t see any uninstall utility for it nor am I able to use any of the generic uninstall utilities to do it (as it doesn’t even show up in the list of installed programs)! Can somebody tell me how to uninstall this?
Thanks

First of all, WW uses Internet Explorer. So, if IE isn’t set to use proxy, neither will WW. If it is, WW will. Simple.

To uninstall just use the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel or the Uninstal.exe file in the Weather Watcher program directory. But seriously, make sure IE is set to use proxy… WW is great![:)]

nybbles, thanks for the reply.
Ofcourse, my IE is set to use Proxy - that is how I am able to post to this forum! I can not even do a city lookup (I live in Chicago area, and even Chicago doesn’t show up). It doesn’t seem to be picking up Proxy settings from IE.
And the version I downloaded first didn’t have the Uninstal.exe file! I downloaded from this site (singerscreation.com) and even that didn’t work and that atleast had the uninstall file. So, I was able to uninstall it.
I found another similar utility - WeatherBug and that is working fine.
Thanks

The only reason I mentioned it was because it would be possible that you use an alternative browser, such as Netscape, Mozilla, or Opera and had forgotten to change the settings in IE.

I would seriously suggest against using Weatherbug as Ad-Aware claims that is spyware. But that is your decision.

nybbles – I think your reasoning is correct, but that will only work if the user does not have to provide authentication (username/password) when connecting to their proxy server.

I am working on a new download method that will support authenticated proxy servers. I have no idea when it will be released…
