Having to re-select active city after reboot

Hello --I have had a problem starting since the last few updates of WW. I have my system automatically reboot once daily, and almost every morning I need to re-select my “active city”. I have not done a clean reinstall of WW for a while (just applied the updates). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

What “updates” are you referring to? 5.6.2, 5.6.4 and 5.6.5 or 5.5 and 5.6.bxx and 5.6.5? I suspect the former but want to rule out the latter.

If you do an Uninstall (not a delete of the WW folder) of Weather Watcher then a reinstall of the current Full release that should clean out any lingering broken settings in the Windows Registry. Especially if you do a reboot between the uninstall and reinstall.

If you want to be extra cautious you can backup your MapHistory.ww, MapSize.ww and CityCode.cmb files before doing the uninstall.
