Love your product by the way. I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time. But I was curiouse. When I go to download new weather information, my firewall picks it up, which is fine, but for some reason it keep asking to connect to like 6 or 7 ports. Does anyone know why it has to do that?
notsure – I’ve never used a personal firewall, but I would guess that those multiple ports are in use by the multiple instances of the Weather Watcher downloader (DL.EXE) that are launched when the weather is retrieved.
That sounds correct to me, my old software firewall used to have similar problems, because the default setting was by port.
