Stickit Version 2.04;

Have used this for some time now but in recent weeks have encountered duplicate notes.

Appears on system reboot and does not affect all notes - just some notes.

In some cases seems to be recovery of a previously deleted note but have also seen where an old note text has been copied into new note, old note deleted and “new” note is then duplicated on reboot.

Affected notes include notes that extend below the bottom “Taskbar” in a Win2K system.

Now had used program the same way for months with no problems so seems some element has become corrupted in recent weeks.

Not sure how reproducible at this stage - certainly occurs some of the time but may not be on every reboot, simply have not logged info.

It sounds like the StickIt Launcher might be starting up from more than one location.

Try this:

  1. Click the Windows Start button and select Run… from the Start menu.

  2. In the Run window, type MSCONFIG and click the OK button to open the System Configuration Utility.

  3. Click the Startup tab in the System Configuration Utility window.

  4. Make sure StickItLauncher only appears in the list once. If there are duplicate entries, then make sure only one entry is checked and click the OK button to save your changes and close the System Configuration Utility window.

  5. Make sure there is not a StickIt Launcher link in the Programs → Startup folder of your Windows Start menu.
