Caribbean Intellicast Satellite map

If anyone has noticed, the Caribbean Intellicast Satellite map is showing a blacked out area of the southern Caribbean Sea. This is due because the Satellite that was mapping this area has lost power.

The Satellite that was moved up from South America, to cover the Caribbean Sea does not have the capability of viewing as large of area as the Satellite it is replacing.

It is my understanding that WSI, owned by Landmark Communications and is a sister company to The Weather Channel & weather.com are trying to restore power to the Satellite that lost power.
