I used Weather Watcher all the time on my computer, but after formatting and installing Windows XP Pro w/ SP2, my Weather Watcher installation is broken. Every time I start the program, it goes into the options screen. I input an active city, but after I close the Options screen, it just reopens again with no city selected. If I try to update my forecast, the program complains about no active city. I tried reseting my IE options, but that didn’t help. Argh! Anyone know what’s wrong?
Does it matter what section of the Weather Watcher Options you’re in when you close it? In other words, does the Weather Watcher Options window still pop open no matter if you close it while in the “General”, “Wallpaper”, “Tray Icon”, or other areas?

I’m having the same exact problem. And yes, at least for me, it doesnt matter which option area I’m in.
Seems that we all have one thing in common so far: we all formatted and reinstalled Windows XP.
With jarz’s posting, I thought it may have been Ad-Aware getting in the way, so I disbaled it’s Adwatch component and installed WW. Problem still occures. I can see the registry entries mentioned, so the installer is at least writing them.
Need anyting else Mike?? Just ask… it’s the least I can do for an awsome program.
I have the same problem.
I installed tonight for the 1st time and am on WinXP SP2.
It doesn’t matter which section I am in when I try to exit.
Either reinstall Weather Watcher from:
http://www.SingersCreations.com/WWsetup.exe
Or, download the following file to “C:\Program Files\Weather Watcher”:
http://www.SingersCreations.com/Files/ww.exe

I downloaded the full installer from the link you provided. It installed fine. When it runs, now nothing comes up. ww.exe is running in the process list. I uninstalled, made sure the entries were properly removed from the registry, and reinstalled. Same result. I also tried overwriting ww.exe with the file you provided in the link, with the same result. Any other ideas??? Thanks Mike!

I have exactly the same thing here. I have a newly installed WinXP Pro SP1 with all the latest updates.
When WW launches, it just stays in memory doing nothing. Only way out is to end the process.
