Cannot find available Weather Stations

I would love to use WWL, but for some reason, it will not allow me to connect to any available Weather Stations in my area.

I am using the latest version of WWL (6.0.16), and Google Chrome is set to my default browser. I have even let WWL sit and load for at least an hour, on an open internet connection, but to no avail. It just will not connect.

It looks like your computer is blocking Weather Watcher Live from accessing the Internet. Check your firewall or other security-related software to see if that’s the case.

I have even disabled the Windows firewall while trying to search for my region, and I have no other blocker programs running.

What happens when you right-click the Weather Watcher Live system tray icon and choose “Check for New Version”?

Nothing appears to happen, and when I go to right-click again, the right-click context menu will not pop back up.

The version check feature also hits the Internet – to verify that you’re using the latest Weather Watcher Live release. I’m still thinking something is blocking Weather Watcher Live from accessing the Internet.

If you post a HijackThis log, I might be able to recommend some potential problem areas to check out. See the “How do I generate a log file?” link on the following page for information on creating a HijackThis log:

Try temporarily shutting down Kaspersky Anti-Virus to see if it’s blocking Weather Watcher Live.

Shut down. It’s not blocking WWL.

Just to let you know, I fixed the problem, even though I wasn’t quite sure what caused it in the first place. WWL is now successfully connected to the internet and I am receiving proper updates.

I reformatted my computer, but I did not do it for the sole sake of WWL. There were other reasons as to why, that I won’t go into detail here.

I want to praise you, Mike, for creating an OUTSTANDING free product to the masses. This takes the cake in all weather devices I have ever used.

Thank you.
