Animated Radar/Satellite Image

I’ve been using Weather Watcher on my XP system for years now. I’ve just upgraded to Windows 7 and am trying to get the desktop magnet to display the US Colorado animated radar/satellite image. Is this possible, if so, how?

Thanks for your help.

Desktop magnets can only display static (non animated) images. Here’s how you can add that static map:

1) Right-click the Weather Watcher Live system tray icon and choose “Create Desktop Magnet…”.

2) Click the “Select Magnet Image…” button and select the map to use. Or, in this case, enter the following URL:

http://sirocco.accuweather.com/sat_mosa … isrco_.jpg

3) Select the refresh rate.

4) Click the “Create Magnet” button.

You should now see the magnet on your desktop. Right-click the map to change it’s settings and/or left click and drag it to reposition it on your desktop.

Thank you Mike. So I would assume with Windows 7 the option of having the animated map is no longer possible, since Windows 7 doesn’t support active desktop, is this correct?

Correct – it’s no longer an option in Windows 7.
