ok… something weird has happened. i upgraded to 5.6 beta 4 and i haven’t gotten any weather updates. i’ve checked several cites and nothing. i just still have the forcast from 8:30am yesterday. I checked weather.com and the cities i’ve looked at have been updated since then. any idea on a cause of this???
i’ve tried returning to 5.5c and same issue… i haven’t changed anything on my computer since the update.
ewelin, what happens when you try to update?
with WW open i click the update button and the update bar pops up. A few seconds later all four bars darken. Usually they progress but now they all go at the same time

It should show the XML data sent from weather.com. Change the USMO0614 in it to match your code.

Ran with my code… could see it with no issues… .had data from within the last hour. Here is the link i used…

Mike… it says “Downloading Server Data…” then changes quickly to “Error: Server Not Found”… then disappears
I have the same error ‘server not found’. Went back to beta 3 & it works again. Installed b4 a few times but no go.
After reading the other thread & a reboot I think we are away & running.
upgraded to b5 and still a no go… can’t get any version running… i did notice that the message on the bottom updates every time i run update… it currently reads “Observed Tuesday, March 8 @ 1:45 AM EST at T74492014

so far the Observed hasn’t updated… still where it is when this issue started… and i’m still seeing the data from then.
ewelin in that you can access weather.com and the XML data with your browser and the problem has to be with WW’s DL.EXE. imo

I’m in 98108 area and had no trouble getting

Just get the Error:Server Not Found While trying to update the weather info. This beta does now allow me to open weather watcher.

Although I use Firefox. I went to Explorer and enabled the “Do not save encrypted pages to disk”

yup i can browse that page perfectly fine… i checked in both IE and opera… no issues… i haven’t changed any settings since i updated but i’m gonna go though and check things with IE and make sure all is good… i can’t figure it out cause the page is getting update the new weather data isn’t being updated though :-/
OK TALK ABOUT WEIRD!!! it’s working… i logged into the internet options… unchecked a setting… the rechecked it… hit apply and it worked… so nothing has changed… talk about weird… but atleast it’s up and running… still can’t figure it otut though
