5.0.22 Bug?

Hi…just installed the latest version. I changed the conversion to degree celsius alreadi and wanted it to have the degree (symbol) shown but i then realised that the temperature shown in the systray is always in the fahr. one with the degree symbol. is it a bug?

I have the same problem!!

Same here the temperature is shown in Farenheit in the systray but when I hover the mouse over it says it is in Celc. I have the option set to show temp in Farenh.

same here [:(!]

just won’t show anything in the tray here…

strange I’m having no problems whatsoever…sorry to hear that guys.

Did you install it over an existing version? So your copy will convert the temperature into Celcius and Farhenheit fine and when you mouse over the system tray it shows the right information?

I have the same problem. I just installed 5.0.22 over 5.0.21 (not running), changed the measurement unit from Fahrenheit to Celsius. WW tray shows temp in Fahrenheit and says it is 59 Celsius when I move the mouse over the icon. Good unit and number every other place.
WinXP SP1.

just downloaded and same problem here - also, not sure if anyone else has this problem on XP, but the icon itself seems to get slightly cut off in the tray - as in this screenshot…

I would guess that has to do with the size of the font you've selected. Try using a smaller font, and/or turning off the degree symbol.

OK, sorry I lied. It does NOT change the temp in the systray when you switch to metric. I didn’t understand what was being said. [:I]

Yeah, this happened to me to. You have to change the size of the font, etc. to make it fit. It has to stay within a certain size. It can’t get bigger in the systray. Each icon only has a certain amount of space. I’ll give my specs which look quite nice to me…
Comic Sans MS (my fav font), 13, Bold. No degree symbol. It would have to be a really small font for the degree symbol to display correctly.[:(]

Version 5.0.22a will correctly display the Celsius temperature in the system tray.

As for using a smaller font, you can use any font that is installed on your computer. If you don’t have a small enough font, try searching around on www.google.com for “free fonts”.

Celsius problem fixed.

The problem with the mouse over still appears to exist in this update. The number in the system tray is being displayed properly in the terms of being Celcious or Farhenheit. When you move the mouse over the number however it says the temperature is Celcius even if the number if a Farehenheit one.

This is fixed in 5.0.22c . Strange, it didn’t warn me to update…luckily I have software that tells me when web pages update[:)]
