When I launch weather watcher the tray icon shows up properly, but the application itself won’t open. When I click “open weather watcher” it stays minimized and I cannot view it. I searched for a way to fix this but am coming up with nothing. My guess is that it has something to do with IE7 beta 2 possibly?
My system has WinXP Home SP2, IE7 beta 2, Weather Watcher 5.6.8
I have the same setup except IE6 instead of IE7 Beta and ‘open WW’ works for me.
So the problem is with the beta and you should report the problem to MS.

Yes, I do see Weather Watcher in the taskbar.
It seems that the Weather Watcher window is visible, but it’s off one of the edges of your screen. Try setting both of the following registry values to “0”:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Weather Watcher\Misc\IfaceLeft
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Weather Watcher\Misc\IfaceTop
Close down Weather Watcher before editing those registry values.
Somehow it managed to self heal. I uninstalled the application and reinstalled 5.6.8 and it magically appeared and is working wonderfully. Looks to be a nice program. I especially like the list of available options to choose from. Thanks for the help here.
