Please export your Weather Watcher Live registry settings and email them to me at [email protected]. Here are the steps to export the registry settings:

1) Click the Windows Start button, choose “Run…”, and enter “regedit” in the run window.

2) Navigate to the following registry key in the left menu:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Weather Watcher Live

3) Right-click on the “Weather Watcher Live” key, choose “Export”, enter a file name, and click the “Save” button.

Done

Thanks! Please try installing the Weather Watcher Live build below over top of your existing Weather Watcher Live installation.

The new build fixes the issue, thanks

There seem to be a new issue in the new build. See the screenshot taken at 23:30 (night): Currently SUNNY? Thursday and Friday night seem to be okay, but the prediction for Saturday night again shows /sunshine/…!

Please email me a new registry export.

Done. Now in the morning (as opposed to around midnight when I noticed the inconsistency) the slider display for the nights looks fine (showing the moon instead of sun)

Thanks! The Weather Watcher Live build below should fix this issue.

Looks like it’s fixed. The night forecasts all show the moon as god intended

BUT I think a new bug creeped in. This is Tuesday night, September 27th and WWL shows forecasts starting from Thursday. What happened to Wednesday day and night?! Hovering over the Thursday forecast shows that WWL “thinks” that Thursday is the 28th while it is the 29th in reality.

See the screenshot

If it’s still displaying incorrectly, please email me a registry export so I can check out your data.

I wasn’t able to reproduce that issue, but I did find something in the code that I think might be causing that issue. Here’s a new Weather Watcher Live build:

No change. WWL states that the most recent forecast has been downloaded on the 28th (correct) but it still thinks this is Thursday (incorrect). Please have a look at the screenshot from “daily” showing the incorrect dates for Thursday and Friday and another screenshot showing the correct date on my computer.

Thanks for the registry export and screenshots. I saw that the day names were incorrect in your registry data, but I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem on my computer. I tweaked a few things in that area of the code and have a new build for you to try.

I’m assuming you’re already doing this, but make sure you click “UPDATE” to retrieve the weather after installing the new build. I just want to make sure you’re not seeing data that was downloaded by the previous build.

If this new build does not fix the problem, then please send me a new registry export

Well, Wednesday is back, but the days are out of order - similar to the first problem in this thread. The difference is: at the beginning it was like Saturday day, Friday night, Sunday day, Saturday night. Now it is like Saturday day, Sunday night, Sunday day, Monday night (see screenshot). I will send the requested registry export.

Here is a new build:

I think I figured it out. In the “Region and Language” section of the Windows Control Panel, you’ll find a setting to set the “First day of the week”. For most locations, I think the default is Sunday. I was able to reproduce results like yours by changing that setting to Monday.

Looks fine at the moment. Indeed Monday was the first day of the week on my computer (which is probably the dominant “view” in most European countries).
