Extremely Stupid Question

I am using WW 5.6.6 and have a very stupid question regarding alerts:

I see the red line on top of the app on the Current screen alerting me of an alert, but where is the button to actually view the alert? I am using the following for skins:

Interface Skin: Windows XP
Forecast Skin: Splendid
Forecast Icons/Tray Icon/Tray Tooltip Skin: Classic

Also, there is no alert box that pops up either? Where is that setup?

TIA

The alert button is only available on the Splendid Interface unless you downloaded additional skins, mine for example. The standard 5.6.6 Classic and etc interface skins have never been upgraded to support it.

The alert popup is an option on the Tray Icon tab, 4th down from the top. If you want sound with it you need to go to the Sounds tab. The standard place to browse for sounds is the c:\Windows\Media folder.

Thanks for the reply, I have changed to Splendid skin and see the Alerts tab now.

I do have the option checked (see below) but haven’t seen a bolloon tooltip on the onset of an alert:

C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\tclarke\My%20Documents\My%20Pictures\ww.gif

[:D] Appreciate the link to the gif on your c: drive but unless you’re running a server it isn’t effective. [:)] To display images here you need to upload them to a web server then link to them using the Insert Image option.

A free image sharing server is at ImageShack (http://imageshack.us/).

Try deselecting the Alert popup option, Apply and OK, then reselecting it and Apply & OKing it.

To test it you can either switch cities, recycle WW or I think maybe just update the weather. It’s been awhile since I played with it. To find a city with an alert to test with pull up this site: http://www.weather.com/newscenter/sever … .html#list

To download additional interface skins that support the Alerts button see these threads: http://www.singerscreations.com/Forum/t … IC_ID=1120

(course mine’s better.)</font id=“size1”>[:D]

I tried your suggestion and made a city active that has an alert and the sound plays, but no tooltip displays.

I don’t know what else to tell you then tclarkey. Sorry.
